Dr. Sanchez holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is the Executive Director of MIT's Geospatial Data Center (GDC). His areas of specialty include the Internet of Things (IOT), Big Data, Cybersecurity, and Digital Innovation. He teaches graduate courses in Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Innovation. For the past eight years his research has focused on architecting large-scale computation.
Cynthia Breazeal is a professor of media arts and sciences at MIT, where she founded and directs the Personal Robots group at the Media Lab. She is the MIT dean for digital learning, and in this role, she leverages her experience in emerging digital technologies and business, research, and strategic initiatives to lead Open Learning’s business and research & engagement units.
W. Eric L. Grimson is Chancellor for Academic Advancement at MIT, Professor of Computer Science, and the Bernard M. Gordon Professor of Medical Engineering. As Chancellor for Academic Advancement, he represents the Institute to alumni/alumnae, parents and others, and is a central advisor to the MIT president on issues related to MIT fundraising campaigns. A faculty member since 1984, he previously served as Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and as Chancellor for MIT.
