MEET YOUR SPEAKER
Professor Edward F. Crawley is the Ford Professor of Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds faculty appointments in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics and in Engineering Systems.
He earned his B.S., M.S. and Sc.D. in Aeronautics & Astronautics from MIT. His research has focused on the architecture, design and optimization of complex technical systems including space systems, launch systems, and systems architecture under stakeholder and economic constraints.
At MIT, Professor Crawley has served as Head of the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Co-Director of the Systems Design & Management Program, Executive Director of the Cambridge–MIT Institute, and founding President of the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology in Moscow.
