Data analytics can help your business with IT modernization by leveraging your data assets: converting, rationalizing and simplifying large volumes of data, and by using the elasticity of the cloud can enhance compatibility, scale at speed, increase automation and agility, and improve data consistency. These processes help organizations build their digital data fabric, gain higher quality insights so they can make better data-driven business decisions, and foster the democratization of data analytics across the organization.
This course will teach you the foundations and applied techniques for data visualization, data science, and data engineering using modern data tools and technologies, especially cloud services. You will learn through faculty videos, practice activities, and labs. You will discover how to optimize, connect, and integrate different types of information from multiple sources while considering data governance and security -- all in order to create a more efficient organization that leverages the insights derived from the data that is the core of your business.
Courses will be eligible for the Boeing Learning Together Program (LTP).
A 4 week online course where you learn the fundamentals of data visualization using tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, HTML/JavaScript and Python/R. Additionally we will cover topics in data management, data connectivity, storytelling and sharing insights with data.
A 4 week online course where you learn the fundamentals of modern data platforms including data storage models, big data, databases (such as SQLite and BigQuery), querying data, transforming data, data connectivity and data pipelines.
A 4 week online course where you learn the fundamentals of Data Science solutions in the cloud. We will use the Jupyter Notebook paradigm with Google Colaboratory (Colab) to create Python and R data science solutions using data science and data management libraries to implement ML algorithms. Additionally we will cover using BigQuery to create ML models for forecasting including access to public data sets.
This 4 week online course will teach you how to apply more advanced data visualization techniques using Data Studio and Tableau along with working with large and complex data sets as well as performing exploratory data analysis and data storytelling methods.
This 4 week online course will teach you practical skills for how to prepare your data for use in real-world analytics scenarios by using techniques such as advanced data modeling, ETL/ELT, SQL and data pipelines in GCP. Additionally, we will cover how to use cloud data in Python/R solutions.
This 4 week online course will teach you how to analyze data in real-world scenarios using machine learning techniques such as ReInforcement Learning, Computer Vision, Neural Networks; Clustering techniques, Bayes Classifiers. We will also discuss techniques for automating machine learning workflows.
Get experience using the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and the several of the tools in the suite of services that are used for data analytics
Understand the fundamentals and application of data visualization for driving analysis and decision making
Use several techniques to access, load, merge and visualize data, including large, complex datasets
Gain familiarity with popular visualization tools: Tableau, Google Data Studio, Python and R (and data visualization libraries)
Identify different ways of connecting to data based on the tools and environments you use at your organization
Build Data Pipelines that ingest data from a publicly available dataset into BigQuery, using Google Cloud services
Structure and query data in BigQuery, SQLite and perform ELT/ETL with BigQuery, DataFlow, and Tableau
Understand different data storage and management tools available in GCP and how to work with data in the cloud (GCP)
Create a forecasting model in Big Query with GCP Console
Use R, and Python to create data science Notebooks and perform data processing, data visualization and machine learning using a variety of libraries such as Pandas(Python), Matplotlib, ScyPy(Python), NumPy(Python), caret(R), dyplr(R) and in Google Colab
Define the Data Science lifecycle roles and responsibilities
